Fairlea Longhorn Ranch is proud to have owned JK Creekmore from 1998 until is death in February, 2002. He was a well known and highly respected mature bull (DOB 5/14/89) when we bought him, and he performed exceptionally well for us. Creekmore was 61" tip to tip (at a time when there were very few bulls whose horn measurement exceeded 55"). He weighed 1,820 lbs in pasture condition, and his scrotal measurement of 42 cm was among the largest in the breed.

Discriminating Longhorn breeders have, since the early 1990s, been paying top dollar for the opportunity to add Creekmore's offspring to their herds. During his lifetime he sired the second longest horned bull (for a time) in the breed (Creekmore's Ace), and his daughters are well known for their color, horn, disposition, conformation, and mothering abilities. One of Creekmore's daughters, Creekmore's My My, was the 1998 TLBAA Reserve World Champion Haltered Female. His 1997 son, Creekmore's Whelmer, was 1998's number one ranked yearling bull in terms of rate of horn growth (Texas Longhorn Journal, September/October, 1998 issue). By the time of his death he had sired over 170 registered calves.

Creekmore's offspring and semen are in great demand not only because of his incredible production record but also because his pedigree is so unique. Genetically he combines WR breeding (25%) and Wright bloodlines (75%). That is a very rare combination of bloodlines for a horn growth specialist such as he was. Looking at his pedigree, one will see very few, if any, common ancestors to any cow to which he or his offspring are bred. Thus, the hybrid vigor that breeders covet is nearly always available through his semen and his offspring.

JK Creekmore is AI certified (TLBAA #505 and ITLA #1026), and semen is available.
